Ponsonby, an urban village, is one of the earliest areas of Auckland and luckily many of the historic buildings still remain. It is also the trendiest part of town, a place where Aucklanders come to eat, to drink coffee [coffee making is an art form in Ponsonby] and to have fun. It is also very close to the city centre. So, the Great Ponsonby, set in a large, beautiful garden is in the most perfect place from which to explore Auckland.

Our sitting room is a place to read, listen to our extensive CD collection or have a drink with friends. There is no tv. The tvs are watched in the privacy of your own room. We also have an extensive collection of mainly NZ films.

Because of our intimate size , cancellations affect us significantly.
