Welcome to Big Bar Guest Ranch, our little haven away from the busy world! Big Bar Guest Ranch is nestled in the rolling hills of the Cariboo where Time has no meaning.
The first thing you sense when you arrive is the spirit of old-fashioned hospitality and the relaxed western atmosphere.
Horses are a way of life here and we are proud of our well-trained herd and our experienced wranglers, both will lead you through the rangelands, wide open spaces, timber and mountain meadows. The wranglers will tell stories of the many spectacular places you will meet on a horseback ride.
So leave the fast paced city behind and slip on in to Cariboo time. Feel the freedom that can only be experienced on horseback. Big Bar Guest Ranch access thousands of acres which make up one of the most scenic rides in Canada.
Big Bar Guest Ranch offers many different accommodations that will meet the expectations of most people whether you are only one person or a whole family or maybe a company seeking a special place to host a meeting. Our guest rooms in the Sagebrush Inn have queen or twin beds – some rooms have lofts.
Our cabins are fully equipped with kitchen, full bathrooms, wood burning stoves and a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. One of the lodges has six rooms and two bathrooms perfect for groups or family reunions. If you want a more simple accommodation you can choose one of our Tipi’s on the hill overlooking the amazing landscape. Our big campsite area with wash- and shower rooms is also very popular.
The historical building “Harrison House” was built in 1936 and here you will find the cozy Fireside Room and games rooms with billiard, table fooze ball, table tennis, dart boards.

Policies

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

To confirm bookings, 20% of the accommodation package or $200.00 whichever is greater, is due upon reservation. Reservations considered firm only upon receipt of deposit.
If cancelled 60 days before arrival, 50% of deposit will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee.
If cancelled 30 days before arrival, 25% of deposit will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee.
Cancellation within 30 days of arrival there is no refund of deposit.

Taxes and gratuities are not included. Gratuity is intentionally left up to the guest and encouraged by the staff performance.
